Political Capital, in partnership with the Slovak think tank Globsec, analyzed the results of a public opinion poll encompassing Austria, Bulgaria, Czechia, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Slovakia.
Although not all governments were well-prepared and equipped to deal with the consequences of the pandemic, we can see a general “rally around the flag” effect: the popularity of ruling parties has been increasing in most European countries since the coronavirus outbreak reached the continent.
